WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Established in 2005, ESCOVAL is a multi (non) denominational church which holds services on the third Sunday of every month, following a mainly Anglican style, in the village of Arcay just off the D759, almost on the border of The Vienne (86) and Deux Sevres (79), only a 10 minute drive from the market town of Loudun.

Our purpose is to provide a friendly and welcoming opportunity for Christian worship for English speaking folk living within a 40km radius of Arcay, which includes parts of departments Maine-et-Loire (49) and Indre-et-Loire (37). However, distance is not a limiting factor if you are prepared to travel, all are welcome!

Most of our services are followed by a convivial ‘bring and share’ lunch, to which all are welcome. Depending on the weather this is either held ‘al fresco’ or in the local salle des fetes adjoining the church.

In the winter months we do enjoy the benefit of a good heating system in the Church to keep out the chill!
